The day has finally arrived when I can show you the final results of my latest project! I must say, this one is probably my favourite project to date. I love the rustic charm and the warmth that this accent wall brings to the room and I hope you do too!
Sorry it’s been so long since I’ve done a DIY post! They really do take the most time. I have so much respect for DIY bloggers that put up new DIYs every day! It’s incredible. I need to start doing projects that don’t take hours to complete, that’s the trick. That isn’t the case with this one, though. I would say it took about three and a half hours after all is said and done but it would take far less time if I were to do it again because getting started was the hardest part. Lucky for you, I’ve done all the preliminary measuring so if you do this yourself, there’s no math involved of you. Just follow these instructions and you’ll be on the right track.

I needed to make something that took virtually no time and came out looking great because I have 24 guests coming for dinner (yikes!) and lots of work to do.

That being said, I have to admit that I did replace the flooring and I painted the walls when we moved in, so that’s already done and it certainly wasn’t for free but EVERYTHING else will be. I’m not sure exactly how I’m going to do this but I’m determined.
As an introduction to this new project, I wanted to share some of my inspirations and the offices that my little office aspires to be.
I love this wall unit by Lolly Jane with the chevron pattern backdrop! It’s beautiful and has so much storage. I also love the idea of mason jars for storage. I happen to have a lot of mason jars in my basement, that counts as free!
PAINTING IS DONE! Today we did the final coat of white on the base of the table and the second coat of grey on the table top. And, if I don’t mind saying so myself, it looks fan-freaking-tastic. It is sooooooo beautiful. I feel unreasonably emotionally attached to it.
A couple notes now that the painting portion is done: Read more
